Word Family Rhyme Cards [Color and Black and White]

My kiddos loved finding the rhyming words in this resource. Great for teaching CVC words as well!

I love this activity and it is very helpful for my first-grade students. Not every word has a match. I chose to keep those words out of the center, but could use them in small group if I want my students to try to rhyme them. The words are web, cab, and hem. One could easily create the word card matches if wanted.

There is a LOT of cards with this and I really love it! At the beginning of the year it was a bit tricky for my kindergarteners but it's fun to pull it out now and watch them use it totally independently! Thank you for creating this!

The children love our rhyming time with “Kyle” the Crocodile! This is such an engaging educational addition to my classroom! The children can’t wait to see and hear what Kyle is up too. I have added another job to the classroom “Kyle Keeper” this child has the job of holding Kyle while we rhyme and keeping him fed with our new rhymes. This activity will be used several ways in our classroom!

I like this resource and it works for my students HOWEVER there is not an equal number of cards for each word family. This is very frustrating and I feel I can't use the whole resource like I fully intended. Some have eight cards that match and there are some that only have ONE.
