Seasonal Clothing Sorting Mats for Students with Special Needs

My students really liked this and so did I. It was easy to use !

I love these because it goes over the appropriate clothing to wear during the season. I actually post these by our morning calendar since we dress our turtle to help steer the help in the right direction.

The Seasonal Clothing Sorting Mats by Mrs. D’s Corner is a fun and interactive activity for teaching children about appropriate clothing for different seasons. The sorting mats are visually appealing, and the accompanying booklet adds extra value by explaining the concepts. While it’s a great tool for building seasonal awareness, some of the activities could be a bit more challenging for older or more advanced students. Overall, it’s a solid resource for young learners to understand seasonal clothing choices

My students enjoyed learning about different clothing for the seasons.

I use this in small groups or 1:1 when sorting clothes by the 4 seasons. The students enjoy the colorful visuals.

Kids had a good time sorting the clothing and talking with a partner about their sorts.

I had a couple of clothing sorting activities but this one was the BEST!!! It was not only my favorite, but it was my student’s favorite. They would fight over it. I was able to laminate it and make it available during our clothing unit and the students (boys and girls/ 3-5ys) absolutely loved it. It was helpful as a teacher to guide them to the color matching to see if they got the correct answer. I did print two of the clothing pages so I could have them match the clothes back on the page when they were finished so it was ready for the next person.

Great resource for our unit!

I used this as a morning tub during our clothing study. My students found it engaging.

Loved this little activity as we introduced the change in season. We read a book that targeted some of these vocabulary words and tied it into our lesson!

I made this into a file folder game for our clothing study. I also used this as a small group activity before I put it into centers. I love the visuals that go along with it for them to sort the clothing according to the season.
