How do I use this in my classroom?

I print on white cardstock, laminate, cut out and add Velcro. During center time or during "free" time, these sorting mats are readily available for students to work on. Depending on ability level, I give the student both sorting mats to work on at once.

You can also use the sorting mats to create a file folder activity or game.

I am unable to use this in my classroom. The 'Urban' mat is written in blue and has the blue outline for my students to match, while the 'Rural' has writing and outline in yellow. However, the pieces they match are mixed up. All of the rural pieces are blue outlined but the rural mat is in yellow. As well as the urban pieces are outlined in yellow and then urban mat is blue. I have not had an issue before with Mrs. D's Corner resources. I am contacting the content creator in hopes I am able to obtain a fix and change the rating.

I loved this resource, but it was a little confusing for my students that the border colors on the mats for rural and urban were different from the border colors on the sorting pieces. We loved all of the picture choices for sorting though!
