Still not sure what a lapbook is or how to incorporate one into your classroom?! You can check out my blog post here to read more.

Other Suggestions:
• Instead of creating a lapbook, include the 10-themed foldables into your Interactive Notebook!
• Coloring these pages does take some time. I suggest asking students to color them for homework and/or having them color during free time.

There are more foldables included than what will fit inside your students' lapbooks. Your students can specialize the folder any way they want, which makes it more special, differentiate-able, and individualized. This is great because no two INB lapbooks have to be the same!

This was an excellent idea for our apple unit - it included a bunch of awesome hands-on activities and choices for what to include in the lap book. I did find this challenging to use with my Kinders, but the grade 1s thoroughly enjoyed this. The options for differentiation were good, but for some of my kiddos, they really just weren't engaged in the activities for whatever reason. My students with fine-motor challenges really struggled with this. I think for those kids who really enjoy hands-on activities it is a fantastic purchase!

I've never really been a fan of lapbooks, but bought this one anyway, and I'm glad I did! It's a great introduction to lapbook skills and techniques for my students. They are enjoying making it and are highly engaged! I wish it included directions, rather than just a photo of the finished product, and the different components of the lapbook are really just different ways to show the same information in different formats. However, we've worked on this here and there over several weeks, and it's been very worthwhile. It was one of my students' favorite items to discuss with parents at student-led conferences in the fall!

There were a lot of sections for this project and even my third graders had a difficult time following the directions for what to cut and paste. If I did this again, I would do one or two sections a day while teaching about apples because they liked doing the project, there are just multiple steps that need to be scaffolded!
