Students sort onto the following mats:
• Community Helpers (baker, dentist, farmer, forest ranger, grocer, doctor, life guard, postal worker, chef, veterinarian)

How do I use this in my classroom?
I print on white cardstock, laminate, cut out and add Velcro. During center time or during "free" time, these sorting mats are readily available for students to work on. Depending on ability level, I give the student both healthy teeth sorting mats to work on at once.

I love using interactive tasks/lessons for my students. It's much more effective. This is perfect to go with my ongoing lessons about the community and workers found in the community. I would 100% buy more community themed sets like this!

Love these sorting mats! I bought a few independently and I wish I'd held out until my budget could accommodate buying the bundle with all of them because I like and use them that much.

My students liked using this in morning tubs the day after a student asked what the word essential meant. During the discussion many students shared that they had heard the word "essential" on television. We discussed essential workers and how they were helping out during the current Covid crisis.

This is a great resource. When I created the mats, I was able to modify them to fit each of my students' individual learning needs. Some of my students are able to sort by category while others are able to match picture to picture. I was able to adapt the mats to work for both groups of students. In my classroom as I these are independent level work tasks. Overall, good product!
